2010
IAN LEGGATT JUNIOR TOUR IS NOW COMPLETE
Congratulations to our players and volunteers for another successful tour.
Thank you to the staff and management of all the participating courses and our corporate sponsors for another wonderful season. Without you, the tour would not have been possible.
We couldn't be more proud of the players. They handled themselves in a truly professional manner.
We received many ongoing compliments from the staff and members of the host courses, saying how well the players conducted themselves.
The spirit of the tour was upheld by good sportsmanship, striving for excellence and in some of the more of the challenging parts, a sense of determination and humour. You should all be very proud of yourselves.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the families of our players. Your dedication to the tour, respect for the game and the support that you gave to the players, made it all possible. On behalf of the tour and "your" player, our hats are off to you!
Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who made it all possible.
We would also like to thank those that have sent us their feedback on the 2010 tour. We have received some wonderful emails and hope to hear more from everyone about the experience. Suggestions for change are also encouraged, as we continue to improve and fine tune our policies and procedures.
There will still be more additions to the website over the next few weeks, as photos and final standings of the tour are posted. Please check back with us shortly.
Have a wonderful year and we shall see you in 2011!!!!!!
About the tour
2010 marks the 24th year of the Ian Leggatt Junior Golf Tour, the second longest running junior tour in Ontario!
The tour,
which plays on various venues in Brant, Wellington and Waterloo
Counties is open to junior boys and girls up to the age of 18.
We play a total of 7 events which includes a qualifier event at
the beginning of our season.
Ian is proud be associated with the tour and as a result of the
generosity of his major sponsor Taylor Made, along with our local golf courses, the tour is able to
operate at a very reasonable cost for our junior Golfers.
The tour enables junior golfers to improve their game, have fun
and enjoy competition on some of the area’s greatest golf courses.
To date we have had 30 'Tour Alumni' accept scholarships to play
college golf in both Canada and the United States.
We encourage all young Brant, Wellington and Waterloo county
junior golfers to come and try out to be part of the Ian
Leggatt Junior Golf Tour.
